Dance

This weekend was our dance recital. We had one on Friday and another one on Saturday. It was hard work to put all the make-up on and especially the fake eyelashes, but it was also a lot of fun because I love make-up and how you look when you're done.
On Friday it was alright. In Ballet i messed up like 10 seconds into the song because I fell out of my double turn and finished with baby steps... The rest of it was pretty good tho. Jazz was good as well, but I still found some things that I wanted to make better. On Saturday I did not fall out of my turns which was awesome, because that's my weakness. Ballet went very well and Jazz was amazing too! I turned the wrong way at the beginning but I think/hope nobody noticed.
Here in America the Seniors of the dance studio always have a Senior Dance, which is all the way at the end. It's their last dance at the studio, because they will have to leave the studio for college. We only had one Senior this year and she danced with our teacher Erin and also invited the Seniors from last year. They danced to the song "See You Again" by Carrie Underwood. It was so sad. On Friday I didn't cry at all but then on Saturday I started balling, because I realized that it was my last time too and that I will never dance at the studio again. I tried to hold my tears back during curtain call and it worked a little, but as soon as the curtain closed and we all said good bye to our Senior and went to the changing area, I started crying so hard! I couldn't hold it back anymore and it was so sad. I hugged all my dance girls and told them that I will miss them next year and that one day I will come back.
After the recital a friend, her sister and I drove to another dance girl's place, because she had a going away party, as she was moving to another town and had to leave the studio also. It was a night full of tears and breaking hearts :'(
I will seriously miss my dance girls. Dance is different than the sports I did here, because even though we saw each other everyday at Cross Country or Track practice, we didn't really interact that much with each other. We were running and had our focus on our performance, but in dance we had this connection that became stronger every Sunday we spent together.
I also want to thank my dance teacher Erin for teaching me so much this year and making me a much better dancer. Honestly, at the beginning of the year I thought about dropping out of dance again, because I thought it would be too hard for me, but at the end I am so glad that I didn't give up dancing.
I am sure that our all paths will cross again some day!

Little side note: As I had to turn in my computer about a week ago, I am writing this on my phone. If this works properly, I will be able to keep you updated while I am on the tour.

Also: I haven't gotten any pictures of our Jazz performance yet. If I do before I go on the tour, I will upload them on this post and update it, so it will still be the same post, but with more pictures.
